Lighter: verifiable trading and access restrictions

What verifiable order matching means, what it does not establish, and the provider’s access limits.

Order matching and liquidations

Lighter describes itself as a decentralised trading platform with verifiable order matching and liquidations. Order matching pairs compatible buy and sell orders. Liquidation closes a position when it no longer meets the required margin conditions. Verifiability concerns the system’s operation; it does not predict the result of a trade.

Lighter introduction

What a technical claim does not cover

A verifiable execution process does not protect a position against an adverse market move. Margin, execution price and liquidity still matter. Nor does a platform-wide fee headline establish the total cost for every account, order or integration. RefWiki has not tested execution or independently audited the system.
